We have reviews the current California Proposition 65 (Prop65) listing and have been asked to make a statement as to whether the Unifi Manufacturing, Inc. products(s) listed on Exhibit A hereto (collectively, the "Product") contain(s) any of the chemicals on the aforementioned listing.
It is possible that one of the listed chemicals on Prop 65 may be used in the formulation of the Product, although this does not necessarily mean that it would be detectable or accessible in final form.
Antimony trioxide may be used in the synthesis of the catalyst for the production of polyethylene terephthalate (PET). As there is no test, know to us, to discern whether this compound has been used in the production of a recycled or virgin PET resin, it is not possible to be sure if the compound has been used. The primary industry concern regarding the use of antimony trioxide is a flame retardant chemical, and we do not use antimony-based flame retardants for our functionalized, flame retardant yarn products.
In addition, titanium dioxide is commonly utilized in our programs, although not in inhalable for as listed on Prop 65. Carbon black, in respirable form, and its extracts are also listed on Prop 65, and we do not expect the Product to yield issues as it is intended to be used. No carbon black in respirable form is present in the Product.
This information is provided for environmental, health, safety and regulatory purposes only. As we are reliant on external information, Unifi Manufacturing, Inc. assumes no liability whatsoever for third party information.
